  Can't even explain how awesome this taqueria is. Little grocery store and butcher in front has everything you'd need for a great authentic Mexican meal. Restaurant in back has the most authentic tacos within 100 miles.. Yep, better than anything on Cherokee St. The only gripe I have about the place is that the chips aren't fresh.. but they get a very good brand from Chicago brought in, which you can also buy from the grocery store, and I have.
  
  Also, prices can't be beat. 3 tacos, side of rice and beans for $7.99? Sign me up!
  
  PS: The green tomatillo/avocado salsa is probably the best 'green' salsa I have ever eaten. It's hot, but addictive. The red salsa is burn hair off your chin hot, I usually pass on it, but chileheads will love it!

  Great authentic Mexican food and not to mention price is very reasonable! Service was excellent as well. Definitely a place to come with family and enjoy!

  What a delicious hidden gem! Located inside...and at the back of the grocery store, you'll find this small amazing restaurant. I feel like it doesn't get much business as it's hidden and no one really knows about it but omg it's so good. We usually go across the street(as it's all people ever talk about) but this place is so.much.better. Now I know there's a couple "taquerias" to go to for good tacos in Fairmont but this is by far the best I've had. They're never really busy so the service has always been good. I've only ever had their tacos and tortas and they've both been great! Their margaritas are delicious(7.99 for a medium) and I think they have happy hour M-F 4-6. They have a full bar and plenty of beer to choose from. They also have 2-4 different flavors of "agua fresca" if you're into that. It's always clean, and well kept. We'll def be back here soon:)!

  BLUF: The place right across the street is better.
  
  I was super excited to eat here but really let down by the whole experience.  The waitress seemed to be simultaneously rushing me and indifferent to serving.  She couldn't answer basic questions like "is there jalapeno in that? or "what is that on my torta?"  
  
  I was really looking forward to a chicken mole (can't for the life of me figure out how to get the accent over the e) torta.  It showed up with chicken, rice, sauce and an unidentified ingredient.  The waitress told me it was sauce but it seemed like it could have been beef.  I like beef.  It would not have been a problem if it was beef.  It would have been a problem if it had been cat.  I don't like cats.  Still, I never did get an answer but it's been a few days and I'm not showing any ill-effects so I suppose it was alright, whatever it was.
  
  So, the torta that contained chicken, rice and something with mole sauce over it.  It was a good looking sandwich but a bit plain.  It was also salty.  How salty was it?  I swear I could feel my skin shriveling as I drove away from the place.  It was so salty that I drank a huge amount of water all afternoon.
  
  There's a great place that is literally right across the street from this restaurant that I will stick to when I'm in the area.

  One of the best hole in the wall Mexican restaurants I've ever been!! If this restaurant was closer to my home or work, I would come often but unfortunately it is out of the way.
  
  When you enter the place, it looks like a little grocery store that sells mexican snacks, candy, beer, etc....you'll walk to the back to find a little dining area (capacity is probably 20 ppl max).
  
  Horchata is a must have here! Super cheap and they give you a huge cup with free refills, not that you would need a refill because the cup is so big!!
  
  Chips and Salsa: yum! The chips severed here are a little thicker than usual mexican restaurants. the salsa was super good! one of the best I ever had. I'm not a salsa verde gal but i enjoyed the one here.
  
  Queso: delicious queso but way over priced for the portion. It comes in a little sauce bowl for 4$.
  
  Street tacos are super delicious! They're very generous with protein and toppings. The protein is very flavorful! Hits the spot! We ordered lingua, barbacoa, carne asada. I would say the carne asada was the best out of all.
  
  Menudo: I didn't order this but my dining partner did....disgusting! He's had authentic menudo many places before and it was average for him. I took a sip and wanted to throw up...it's not my type of dish.
  
  Overall, great place for authentic mexican food! the service here was average, nothing to complain about.
  
  The grocery store sells mangonada and palentas. They were a bit freezer burned and a little overpriced...if it was fresh i wouldn't mind paying the price.
